Vendange Carmel Inn & Suites is a wine-themed boutique for couples visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea and the Monterey Peninsula.

It’s located at 24815 Carpenter Street and offers a combination of flower-filled gardens, contemporary lodging, and excellent access to tasting rooms, galleries, and all the other things you’d do when you’re out on the coast. It’s a true boutique experience.

All of the rooms have comfortable beds, modern decor, and marble showers in many of the room types, so it’s a very comfortable place to return to after the day’s sightseeing.

Nearby date-night options include French-Italian at La Bicyclette, Mediterranean at Dametra Cafe, and Italian at Vesuvio. Carmel Beach, 17 Mile Drive, and Pebble Beach are all good for a coastal outing.

The inn itself is not beachfront, and the beach activities are all off-site.

Practical Details for a Couples Retreat

Published check-in is 3–8 pm, and check-out is 11am. Later check-ins are possible but require advance arrangement. There are accessible rooms with a roll-in shower and seat, as well as accessible routes and accessible parking.

The general policy is that pets are welcome for a night’s fee, though individual room descriptions will state that pets are not permitted. So pet eligibility will require individual confirmation. Service animals are of course welcome at no extra charge.
